Praying February 16, 2007

O Lord, how we need You, and how we need to pray. We need You to touch our lives. We need healing. We need healing from sin. Our sins have separated us from You, our God, our Savior, and Redeemer. Forgive us our sins O God.
You are worthy of so much more praise and glory than we give, certainly more than I give. You are worthy of the rocks crying out when we do not. You are worthy of the sun exploding into praise and adoration, and the moon shining brighter than day, because the one’s created in Your image do not praise You.
Forgive us for being so wrapped up in ourselves, our selfish pursuits, and self-made problems. We are often times more concerned about the car payment, the house payment, or credit card payments than we are the wonder of the payment YOU made for our sins. The payment of the life of YOUR Son Jesus on the cross.
Turn our hearts, O God, to praise YOUR name the name that is above every name. One day every knee will bow before YOU, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to YOUR glory. It will not be too soon.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me; bless His holy name. Amen.
