The following is a new request which has came in just this morning for a man who will be starting a new church.  Here is the request, and my prayer:

  • Dear True and Good Jesus,

I pray for the Towering Strength of my Good friend Ralph Palmer. He is about to embark on a Journey to start His own Church Ministry. The gifts needed to help His people are many. Pray for this Good man. May the Good Lord Jesus Truly Bless you. Amen. Darryl.

My prayer for your friend Ralph Palmer is that he will be God’s man, for God’s people in God’s timing and for God’s praise, and glory.

I received this email concerning a brother and sister in Christ.  It is involving their family – a daughter, and their grandbaby.  Please pray for them.  Here is the email.  Bro. John Edwards gave me permission to post this.

    Subject: Prayer needs

Greetings to the Pastors in the Mineral Area Baptist Association,

I am John Edwards, the chairman of the Personal Committee for the MABA and would like to get to you the following information:

Our DOM is in need of our prayers.  You are aware of some of the things that have happened since his arrival as our DOM.  Bro. Larry’s house burnt down with all his possessions.  Sister Debbie lost all of her shoes!  Sister Debbie has been sick and in and out of the hospital.  Their house at Lake Stockton has not sold yet.  This has put a great financial hardship on them, (Medical bills, new house payment, old house payment)

Last week a new chapter opened up for Larry and Debbie Greenfield.  They have a daughter and grandbaby living with them.  The daughter is separated from her husband.  They have tried unsuccessfully to get back together as husband and wife.  The husband came to visit the baby last week about Tuesday, I believe.  On that day the husband forced the baby from the mother’s arms and fled with the baby.  Again the baby is Larry and Debbie’s grandbaby.  He fled they believe to the state of Texas.

Law enforcement officers said it was a custody battle and would not get involved.  Lawyers and judges said the same.  Finally they were able to secure a lawyer for $1750. up front and legal action began to take place.  A warrant was issued for the husband but he is in Texas.  Larry and Debbie went to Texas, a 16 hour drive.  In Rockport Texas they had to get another Lawyer, ($2500. up front) They have hopes of getting the baby today.  For both lawyers this is the initial cost and other fees will be adding up including court costs.

This is Bro. Larry’s grandbaby and he is ready to sell off all furniture and his home to get this baby back to the baby’s momma.  Bro. Larry is more than broke.  He needs our prayers.

I will be giving our church a thumbnail sketch of the above this Sunday and if someone wants to give financially we will give them the opportunity.  We will have a time of prayer for them.  I only ask you to do as the Lord leads you.

As of 9am Friday morning Bro. Larry and Debbie are in Texas.  The husband (their son-in-law who took the baby) is not to be found.  He has a warrant out for his arrest but the police cannot find him.  Bro. Larry is waiting for answers in a hotel.  He needs our prayers.  Living in a hotel, eating out, waiting and waiting, the financial cost is still rising.

Will keep the Associational office updated.

John Edwards, MABA Personal Committee Chairman.

He also sent me an update.  Which I will not post at this time.  I will say that the father of the baby has been arrested, and they must wait until Monday to appear before a judge to receive custody of the baby.  Then, they have a 16 hour trip back home to Farmington, MO.

I received this request on the old site on January 25.  To the one who made the request I want to apologize for being so long in getting it up.  I was unable to get online due to noisy phone lines – dial up  you know.  Here is the request just as it is printed in the comments section at the other site.

Our Pastor and hiwife are going through turmoil right now! I can’t tell about the circumstances. Please pray for peace, healing, and hope! Also pray for a restoration of FAITH!

All good members of church should be praying for their pastors.  Especially if that pastor is a man of God and His Word, preaching it faithfully, and lifting up the name of Jesus.  Pray for your pastor today
