Country, and President January 30, 2007

We need, we must pray for our Country and our President. There are forces which we do not see that are working behind the scenes, working feverishly, fearlessly, and with hatred for all men, and especially hatred for Jesus Christ.

There is only one force which can give us victory and it is the person of Jesus Christ. Our President of the USA is trying to do the best he can in bringing an end to this war against terrorism. Let’s pray that God will grant him wisdom each and every day for guiding the affairs of our nation, our military, and their leaders. Let’s pray that our President will continue to be a man of God as a man given to prayer, and seeking godly counsel.

The war on terrorism is not a war against flesh and blood. It is a war against “…The rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places…” Pray like you have never prayed before. Our lives depend on it. Our children’s lives depend on it.

“Righteousness exalts a nation; but sin is a reproach to any people”.

Prayer for You January 30, 2007

We pray that you come here already having recieved Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  If not, we pray that you realize now that you are condemned by sin and your destination is death, and your eternity is to everlasting judgment.  That is not what God planned for you.  He created us for eternity.  Sin marred that.  Jesus renews that.

It is God’s gift of grace.  Jesus died on the cross taking my place and yours to bring us into relationship and fellowship with God.  Jesus was buried carrying our sins away, and He arose from the grave proving that His work on the cross was completed.  Judgment for sin is done through Jesus.  He is alive.  He loves you.  Trust Him

That is our prayer for you.

Having A Heart for Jesus January 18, 2007

When we pray let’s ask that we have a heart for Jesus; Let’s also ask that we have a heart like Jesus.
It has come to my attention that there are too many churches where Jesus is on the outside knocking, and we do not see His absence nor hear Him knocking. We are too busy with things. We are arguing about what style of music, what the preacher should be preaching (for your info that is between the man of God and God not for the people to decide); the color of the carpet; or why uncle Billy Joe’s feelings got hurt and he won’t be back because…
Let’s pray that we become engulfed in Jesus; that we will hear His voice – if we are hearing His voice we will not need worry about Him knocking on our door; that we begin to weep over our own sin; the sins of the lost and their lostness. When the Church gets its love for Jesus back there won’t be so much arguing, division, and trash.
Understand me here; some disagreement is good as long as it is done agreeably, and with love for the other.
Let’s pray for all Bible believing, preaching, Christ-centered churches to be ever faithful to loving Jesus, His Word, and looking for His appearing. Be ready. Come Quickily Lord Jesus

While I was away from blogging for the last month I did receive the following prayer request, and it is here as it is in the comments section -

Ms. Jessie Duhon needs your prayers. She is a 65 year old woman who had open heart surgery in October. She did great and has now developed a major, major blood clot in her leg which goes into her stomack and it won’t dissolve. Please pray that she gets well and that the Drs. can figure out what is making her blood clot grow and stop it from growing and figure out how to dissolve it safely. My mother is young and has grandchildren still in their teens and early twenties. We all need her dearly. Thanks you.

Though I did receive email notification when this was posted and I did lift her to the Lord in prayer, my prayer is still that she is well and doing much better.
I would like to ask that when you leave a request that you leave an email address, or a name of the one submitting the request. I will still pray for you if you do not, but it would help me keep up on the situation. Your email address will not be used by me for anything other than that purpose. Thank you

Prayer for Abby November 29, 2006

Dear Father, God of Heaven, Savior of all who will come to YOU; YOU are worthy of our worship and praise.
Father, there are times I do not understand why some things happen, and I know it is not important for me to understand, but to trust YOU, knowing that YOU hold us all, and all the things of the world, and in our lives – all these things are held in YOUR hands.
It troubles me Father, Lord Jesus, that there are millions of unborn babies killed every year, because they are unwanted. I am thankful that YOU want them. The only explanation for this evil of killing, and any death, or sickness is sin. That is the only understanding I have. For that I trust YOU.
I thank YOU that YOU have given me life. Life to live on this earth, but especially life that is eternal because of the work of Jesus, my Lord and Savior upon the cross, and revealed to be true and powerful through the resurrection.
Father, I have in my heart a little baby girl whose name is Abby. The neice of Nunzia, who left a comment. This family is struggling right now with the question of, “Why?” Why is this little one suffering so? Why does it have to happen to one so young? All of us would say, “Why couldn’t it have been me?” LORD, I do not know if YOU intend for us to have an answer, but we are to trust the only God who loves, gives life, and liberty to all who will come to YOU.
Help us Father to just be thankful for little time we all have. There is time for knowing YOU, trusting YOU.
Help us all to realize that this life is not about us at all, but that it is really, all about YOU. Help us to rest in YOU in the midst of the storms of life. Help us to walk in YOUR light, even when everything around is so dark. Help us to trust in the dark what we have believed in the light. That Light is YOU.
Lord, bless that dear family with YOUR holy presence, power, glory, and healing of little Abby; for YOUR honor and glory. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray For the Pastors November 16, 2006

Many times Christian people forget to pray for their pastors. Pastors are in great need of their people praying for them.
Pastors are most generally men who are out on the ‘frontline’ facing the problems of the people and many times with the people, and many pastors also have their own problems they must deal with. Pray for the men who preach God’s Word without favor, fear, or compromise. The devil is out to destroy the home of the man or God.
Pray for your pastor to be stronger and to grow stronger in God’s Word, and in prayer in the Lord each and every day. Pray that his devotional life will be strong. Pray that his ministry life will be strong. Most of all pray that his home life be even strong.
Remember the pastor’s financial needs also when you pray. There are many pastors who are living on a mere pitance of a salary, and striving to be used of the Lord to encourage the people, to reach the lost and to disciple them in Christ Jesus.
Pray that your pastor will experience revival, and when he does the church most likely will also. Remember your pastor is praying these things for you too.

Please lift this dear lady and her family to the Lord, that He might have His way in their hearts and lives.
I have two prayer requests. First that my church start fullfilling the great commission and start an outreach of some sort. Second that my family get saved. My husband and I are seperated. I have 2 children; girl 14 and boy 10. We all know the Lord but we have been living the life of a backslidder. I want the Lord to work in me first and then help me to reach my children. Thank You for your prayers.

Father, You alone know the real needs of this family. Kathryn has a burdened heart for her church and her family. Save those Lord who need to have a personal relationship with You, Your Son Jesus, and have the fulness of Your blessed Holy Spirit living and abiding in them.
Help her church, Lord, and all churches who preach Your Word, and trust Your Son, that we all might be more burdened for the lost and practice the Great Commission.
I also pray for healing between Kathryn and her husband. Help her and her children to begin getting into Your Word and prayer on a daily basis, and to love You Lord with all their hearts, souls, minds and strength. Deliver them from their backsliden condition. In the name of Jesus and for His sake. Amen.

For A Heart Like Ezra’s November 9, 2006

For the day in which we live we do need to have a heart for God and His holiness, just as Ezra the scribe. We do live in needy times. Needy for God’s grace, mercy and love. Needy of true repentance. Let’s learn from Ezra’s prayer…

My God, I am ashamed and embarrassed to lift my face toward You, my God, because our iniquities are higher than [our] heads and our guilt is as high as the heavens. Our guilt has been terrible from the days of our fathers until the present. Because of our iniquities we have been handed over, along with our kings and priests, to the surrounding kings, and to the sword, captivity, plundering, and open shame, as it is today. But now, for a brief moment, grace has come from the Lord our God to preserve a remnant for us and give us a stake in His holy place. Even in our slavery, God has given us new life and light to our eyes. Though we are slaves, our God has not abandoned us in our slavery. He has extended grace to us in the presence of the Persian kings, giving us new life, so that we can rebuild the house of our God and repair its ruins, to give us a wall in Judah and Jerusalem.

Now, our God, what can we say in light of this? For we have abandoned the commandments You gave through Your servants the prophets, saying: “The land you are entering to possess is an impure land. The surrounding peoples have filled it from end to end with their uncleanness by their impurity and detestable practices. So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never seek their peace or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave [it] as an inheritance to your sons forever.” After all that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and terrible guilt—though You, our God, have punished [us] less than our sins [deserve] and have allowed us to survive — should we break Your commandments again and intermarry with the peoples who commit these detestable practices? Wouldn’t You become [so] angry with us that You would destroy us, leaving no survivors? Lord God of Israel, You are righteous, for we survive as a remnant today. Here we are before You with our guilt, though no one can stand in Your presence because of this.

Prayer For Election Day November 7, 2006

Let’s pray for a good turn out of God’s people on this election day. People who are not motivated by fear, lies, or greed. Let’s pray that God’s will will be done; first, in the hearts of the people of the United States; second, but not least in our government officials.
We are in need of people who are not seeking to pad their own pockets, but lead people to God and righteousness.
Let’s pray for Amendment # 2 to be defeated in the voting booth. I know God is for life, and for us to let Him and He alone be God; the giver of life and the only one who can legitimatly take it.
On this election day, “Let God be true and every man a liar”.
